The Notaglumlot group and meetings are out of Bozeman, Montana.  We have attendees from several states and even some international participants.  The group was founded on March 13, 2020, and has met every day since that time.

In 2020, the notaglumlot virtual "bus" started with less than 10 recovering alcoholics from Montana on board. The bus tour took us to 50 meetings in 50 states in 50 days. That tour was followed by a second, which took us to 30 meetings in 30 countries in 30 days.  The first small group of travelers on the "Broad Highway" of AA, "trudging the road to happy destiny," was quickly joined by hitchhikers picked up at meetings along the way. Soon, we had more than 100 AA members from most states and many countries joining us for meetings on the tour. 

This all started when notaglumlot was formed on March 13, 2020, in Bozeman, Montana, with its first meeting on March 14, 2020.   At that time, the pandemic had suddenly engulfed the US and the world.  Individual Alcoholics Anonymous groups quickly transitioned to online meetings.  While there were some online meetings before the pandemic, the worldwide fellowship shifted to Zoom within a matter of days and weeks.  

We believe notaglumlot may have been the very first "online only" group to form at the outset of the pandemic.  It was formed spontaneously, collectively, and intuitively as promised in the book Alcoholics Anonymous, where it states, "we will intuitively know how to handle situations that used to baffle us" (Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 84).
